This was a match of 2 games !!!

The first game saw another solid performance from the team with that man Benny Barber scoring a another superb hatrick. The goals came with good support again from Mikey in midfield. The other 2 goals also came from George B with a terrific strike from outside the area and scoring his debut goal for Hazel Grove was "H" Garrity who finished a great move by slotting home in the bottom corner a left foot effort.(I didn't know he had a left foot!!!) The performance was also notable again for our defensive display, with the ever reliable Lewis Rogers and the improving Harry in goal this time joined with a very controlled display by Luke in a new position of right back. A very dominant performance was assisted by the introduction of Adam who once again ran his socks off for the cause.

The score of the second match flattered Burnage, although dominating the first half,

Hazel Grove peppered the goal in the second half and it was down to some good goalkeeping from Burnage and some real bad luck for Hazel Grove.

Scotty and Joe, Greg and little Ben ran and tackled hard across the middle of the pitch with Greg netting our only goal. The solid paring of James and Tom at the back were only caught out due to them being encouraged to push up and chase the game. Macauley was unlucky in goal with 3 good saves rebounding to Burnage players who took their chances and was he was also unfortunate not to save a penalty which he did well to get too. A good performance but the luck did not run our way unfortunately.
