FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When should I Soil
Test?
|
Soil samples can be taken from autumn to Spring in
established sites. For new sites, soil samples can be taken anytime when the soil
is workable. |
How frequently should I Soil Test?
|
A soil test every two years is adequate for normal
gardening. However an annual soil test is required if you desire a closer monitoring
of the fertility levels, e.g. for exhibition growing or if you grow plants
that are known to be heavy feeders. |
What sampling
tools do I need?
|
A clean
trowel, a clean plastic bucket, and a clean plastic sheet are all that is
required. |
How long does it
take to process my Soil Test?
|
Soil
test results and fertiliser recommendations are usually processed and
returned, by first class post or e-mail within seven working days of receipt.
Occasionally during very busy periods results may take a day or two longer to
process and dispatch. |
What information
about my garden do you need?
|
You will need to fill out a short questionnaire that we provide which gives us
details of your garden; the plants that you wish to grow or will be growing.
This is vital information, without which we cannot give recommendations.
