Spent the early months of 2005 on
a JGA Executive challenge course (a pre-election govt gimmick to reduce the un-employment figures).
- In July 2005 a flexible freelance opportunity arose as the technical development
centre of a Cisco ASA 55xx global deployment project.

Across year end, evaluation of Extreme switches as the edge switch interoperating with a Cisco core.

By February 2006, some 30 ASA sites completed with both Routed and Transparent mode with active/standby failover.

April - evaluation of Symantec Client Security - Personal Firewall, and configuration in a corporate laptop build.
