who died, age 21, on the 31st October 1916.

Son of George and Mary Hunham Laing-Taylor of 62 Harker St, Skelton-in-Cleveland, N Yorks.

Henry died in the last weeks of the Battles of the Somme, when the 1/4th Battalion were fighting in the area around Flers, Courcelettes, Martinpuich, Warlencourt, Thiepval.
He was probably hit by shelling on the 27th Oct 1916 and died of his wounds on the 31st. See here.
