W Harris is buried in Skelton and presumably died of wounds.

The 4th Battalion, Yorkshire Regiment were formed in August 1914 in
Northallerton.
They became part of the 150th Brigade, 50th (Northumbrian) Division.
After landing at Boulogne on the 14th May 1915, the Division took part
in most of the actions on the Western Front.
It had fought in 1915 in the Second Battle of Ypres and on the Somme in
1916, but men were being wounded all the
time in day to day trench warfare, so it is impossible to say where W
Harris was injured and how long he suffered.
