Acknowledgements & Dedications

This dedication is to my family - My nana Alice and my brother Michael. To Ray Silver for being my mum, my friend and my mentor, for teaching me my first magic trick and for her hard work and help with Balloon Parade. To my grandad Jack Silver, for introducing me to this fascinating world of magic.

To Cynthia Neptune, my step mum for her help along the way and to my dad Johnny who bought me my first bag of balloons and taught me to make my very first “balloon dog”. I’m sure he would be proud if he could see what has evolved since.

To my two sons, Bernd and Errol who fill me with pride - special thanks go to Errol who has helped in the development of some of my balloon characters.

A special thank you to my brother in law Phil Cass, for his hard work, help and the endless hours spent creating our “Balloon Parade” website...and for the endless hours he still spends updating our website.

My biggest thanks goes to my husband Dave, whom I love very much for being my best friend and for his love, support, encouragement and belief in me.

To the many friends I’ve made in the world of magic and balloons….

Mike Decker ( U.S.A. ) - for his help and friendship and for his lecture which stirred my imagination and creativity and then lead me to designing my own balloon creations

Leslie Melville ( U.K. ) for his friendship and encouragement, ideas and help with my “Prince of Humbug Act” and for being the first person to promote my Balloon Presentations - “Ballooneramas”.

Mel Moore ( U.K. ) for his help and for having enough faith in my ideas to publish my first book “Rainbow Balloons”.

Guido Claassen ( The Netherlands ) for his friendship, hospitality and for the time and effort spent filming, producing, manufacturing and promoting our DVDs and Videos.

Antoinette Claassen-Sliepenbeek ( The Netherlands ) for her exceptional hospitality and for allowing us to utilise her beautiful countryside home in the heart of the Southern part of the Netherlands during filming.

Happu Krenz ( Germany ) who came to our rescue when we were stranded in Melle, Germany, after the Euro Jam and who was kind enough to drive us all the way from Melle to Amsterdam to catch a plane.

Leo Vanderlinden ( Belgium ) - for giving me the opportunity to lecture at Millennium Jam, to take part in the "Iron Latex Man" contest and for sending me the "Iron Latex Lady" Cap!

Ed & Sally Chee ( Arizona ) for their friendship and hospitality, for inviting me to lecture at Diamond Jam and for producing my first American DVD - "Special Occasions" plus the subsequent ones - "Something for all Occasions" and "Cars & Characters"

Royal & Patty Sorrell ( USA ) - for inviting me to lecture at "Twist & Shout"

The list of people I’d like to thank is endless, so I dedicate this page to all my friends from the world of balloons and magic from whom I’ve learnt my trade and with whom I’ve shared ideas over the years. Long may we continue to be an inspiration to and learn from each other.
