Hi! I’m Roger Knipe, a recent ‘blow-in’ to Mountpottinger, having grown up in Armagh. My family are members of the Baptist Church there, and as a young child I made the decision to live for Jesus.
When I graduated from Queen’s University in 2006 my work brought me to live in Belfast ( a bit of a change from the green fields of the Orchard County!) an I was introduced to the church by some friends I knew through Baptist Youth. Pretty soon they were making use of me as a guitarist and singer- I like to, as the bible says, ‘Make a joyful noise’!
I work as a Structural Engineer, designing buildings. When I’m not at work I love to get away to the mountains - hiking, climbing and camping. I also enjoy music and have written some worship songs which we sometimes sing in Church. You can listen to demo recordings of some of the songs at
