You will probably have noticed the high cost of sail training, £200+ for the RYA Level1 course at many Sailing Schools, this is a fair price because the course is so labour intensive, we have recognized that although it is a fair price, we should do our bit to make it more affordable. So as a special deal to new club members to Wembley Sailing Club we only charge £115 for the full two day RYA Level 1 , level 2 or Seamanship course. For people who do not wish to join Wembley S.C. the course fee is £190.

Wembley Sailing Club has recognized that joining a club and not knowing anybody there can be quite lonely so they set up the New Members Club. The club will help you consolidate what you have learnt on the course, how to carry on sailing?, and how to meet other like minded people?, what boat do you want to sail?, all these questions we have attempted to answer.
The Aims of The New Members Club are:
To make you feel welcome at the club,
To have dedicated sailing afternoons (usually every other Sunday) where you can meet other new club members and help you to find sailing partners
You can do this in the free use of the clubs boats which are, maintained and insured by the club. At many sailing clubs you can pay anything from £10 up to £30 per hour to hire a sailing dinghy.
We have experienced sailors on hand to show how to rig the boats. We have training on spinnakers, sail setting, use of 'tell tales'. Windward sailing.
What has proved very popular, is instruction on rigging and sailing Lasers.
We have five classes of boat for you to try GP14's, Lasers RS Vision, RS 200 and Firefly, there are also opportunities to crew in Merlin Rocket's, MRX's and RS200's
It is this total package that makes joining Wembley Sailing club such good value.
