MRX
We
have a new variant of the Merlin, the MRX a design
by Phil Morrison & pioneered by Geof & Rob O’Neill and other Merlin club
members. This is a smooth hull as against the clinker built hull of the original
Merlin.
The MRX, it is designed to complement the Merlin Rocket, it sails and starts
with them. The main differences between the two boats are, the MRX has a smooth
hull and the main sail is fully battened, the Merlin has a clinker design hull
and that familiar mainsail design. We have 10 boats now at the club. The MRX
costs just over £8000 ready to race
