The Merlin
Rocket is a two person high performance development class with a spinnaker.
It is versatile and can be sailed as happily on the open sea as inland waters
and rivers.
The various hull designs mean that people can choose the particular design
that suits their size, weight and age
The class is very popular and recently David Bland, Mark Smythe have bought
new boats. In addition Alan Broadbent has bought the championship winning
'Delirium'. Russell Hall and Dilip Kaneira have also bought Merlins and the
class is really looking on the up.
The Welsh Harp is well suited to Merlins, being 1 mile in length and 100 acres
in size and is therefore suited due to the prevailing South Westerly wind.
