The Firefly can be sailed as a single-handed dinghy in club racing.
The Firefly is ideal for your first boat, it’s light and responsive, and doesn’t have a spinnaker. There are 2 club Fireflies all in good racing trim and are available to club members to race or just potter around. Its ideal for a teenagers first boat, in which they can learn their racing skills. The Firefly is the principal “Team racing” dinghy
Children from the Harp Young Sailors have been using the Firefly to learn the skills on a more responsive boa

Firefly
The 12' firefly is a strict one design sailing dinghy. Firstly constructed in wood, but now most boats are in GRP.
This means that providing your sails are in good condition you can be as competitive as the newest of boats.

The boat is ideal for Team Racing, and is sailed by most universities.
Two Wembley sailors having a laugh during the October Open Meeting, sadly they did not come first.
