Hung Kuen or Hung Gar Kung Fu is an external system of martial art that takes moves from five animals the Tiger, Crain, Snake, Leopard and the mystical Dragon These animals represent the five Quan (five treasures) creating a full system of Martial Art. The Dragon Quan for training attention and spirit; emphasizing lightness, stillness and change. The Leopard Quan for practicing the application of force; emphasizing jumping and fighting. The Snake Quan practicing qigong, prolonging the body; becoming very sensitive and active. The Crane Quan for training concentration, stability, accuracy and determination to defeat the opponent. And finally the Tiger Quan for strengthening the bones, emphasizing jumping up and down. When practised daily physical and mental well being will be greatly enhanced.
