   pure couture  create exquisite gowns, for when off the peg  isn’t quite‘ Perfect enough'  or just doesn’t fit.

    At our beautiful new shop and studio,  we work closely with our clients throughout the design and making  process, bringing their individual style to life.

Beverley Kilburn and Gilly  Gormally came together after many years working in the Bridal industry, prior to that Beverley was a costume maker for the Welsh National opera and has made costumes for television and theatre, Gilly was trained as a ladies tailor, together these skills complement each other enabling them to fulfil  brides dreams.

we can cater for brides , bridesmaids mother of the bride (and groom!) and also available are matching mens accessories  made to measure veils . we also stock a large range of jewellery and tiaras.

          the design process

   at the initial discussion  the fabric and design of your dress will be decided. Next is the  second fit  where your calico toile is fitted. This enables any changes to design, fit or cut to be made.

At your next visits, the dress will be in your chosen fabric, final adjustments made and the dress is completed.

we stock a huge range of sample silks in all colours and textures. satins, organzas, dupions, and beautiful lace, Beading and embroideries.
