Fred Hunt G2HOJ

        Hello
Profile Fred Hunt G2HOJ

My interest stems from my days as a Marine Radio Operator from 1928-1933.
Those days we where using QSG transmitters (Spark Gap) then Hard Valve Tx's,
Super Regenerative Rx's (Ocean Span by Marconi)

I applied for an "Artificial Aerial (AA) License" in June 1939 and was issued with the
Callsign G2HOJ. but due to the commencement of WW2 my license was withheld
until after the hostilities.

After completing nearly 6 years in the RAF being involved with the initial new Coastal
Defense Radars (CH & CHL etc) I eventually got my license issued in March 1946.
and I think I have been on the air everyday since, on one band or another (When Fit)

73's es gud DX
