 Instructions for getting Genie3 to work as a Stand-ALone' file


Delete   anprevious versions of Genie and follow the instructions below.

Download the file into a  folder on your

C\: drive  root directory  called Genie.

EXAMPLE.  C:\GENIE  

(NOT IN ANY OTHER FOLDER example  PROGRAM FILES)

Download Genie 3 from here

If you already have a folder called GENIE,  you  will need to delete everything that is in it first.

When you have downloaded  it into the Genie folder, double click the  GENIE3Z3.EXE file.
 (A black DOS folder may open and shut very quickly)

 You will then have the following files

 PLACENC.TXT
 PLACEN.TXT
 PLACENIX.TXT
 GENIE3.EXE

 Double click on the GENIE3.EXE  file The Genie program should then open OK.

Do not put it on your desktop until you have it working OK.  Then create a shortcut.
