Bill Bellamy


Bill was a founder member of the National Youth Theatre of Wales and trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.. He is an associate of the Wales Theatre Company.

Bill as Antigonus in Winter's Tale at the Ludlow festival 2003 Theatre credits include: Romeo and Juliet, A Servant of Two Masters, Cymbeline, Twelfth Night, Merchant of Venice (Wales Theatre Company - National Tours); Griff in Frank Vickery’s Roots and Wings, To Kill A Mockingbird (Clwyd Theatr Cymru/National Tour - Manchester Evening News Best Touring Drama 2002); Merry Wives of Windsor, Winter’s Tale, Merchant of Venice (Ludlow Festival); Three Sisters, Measure for Measure (Theatre Wales); Catch 22, Arturo Ui, Canterbury Tales (Crucible, Sheffield); A Blow to Bute Street (Made in Wales); Ash on a Young Man’s Sleeve, Pied Piper (Sherman Theatre); Stags and Hens, Happiest Days of Your Life (Swansea Grand); Statues of Liberty (New End, Hampstead) and Away (Show of Strength).

Light Entertainment credits include: The Crazy Gang, The Next Generation (Cromer), Haven Heroes/Circus Haven, Kakapo Island, Three seasons as Charlie Cairoli Jnr’s Straight-man, and fifteen pantomime seasons in places as far ranging as Norwich, Belfast, Bath, Aberdeen, Bromley and Milford Haven!

Radio includes: Gordon Taylor in Station Road (BBC Radio Wales); The Gibson, Sybil, Age of Innocence, Dancing on the Turf (Radio Four) and many short stories (BBC World Service)

Television includes: Robin of Sherwood (HTV), Bowen a’ I Bartner, Pobyl y Cwm, Dinas, Glan Hafren, Cwm Hyfryd, Caerdydd (S4C); The Welsh in Shakespeare, Heartland, Greasy Pole, The Bench, It’s Wicked (BBC); A Mind to Kill (Channel 5). Bill also Hosted HTV’s satirical chat/comedy series Vamp!
