Welcome to the HIBLE family history website. My name is Bryan Hible. I live in Nottinghamshire, England, and have been researching my family name for a few years now.

I have traced my branch of the HIBLE tree back through Sheffield, where I grew up, to the Gloucestershire/Herefordshire area. At the moment the earliest ancestor I have managed to confirm is my great-great-great grandfather, Thomas IBLE, who was born in Upton Bishop, Herefordshire, in 1792. His father's name was also Thomas and I suspect his parents were Thomas IBLE, born in Tretire, Herefordshire in 1757, and Elizabeth APPERLEY, born in Much Marcle, Herefordshire c.1761, but am awaiting confirmation of this.

There were a good many IBLE's from Upton Bishop and surrounding areas, so I am confident that I will eventually trace a line back to one Philip IBLE, born 1566 in Dymock, a village just a couple of miles from Upton Bishop.

Philip's is the earliest reference to a HIBLE/IBLE I have found from this area of the country. I would be pleased to receive any information related to any HIBLE/IBLE or similar [see bottom of this page for contact details].
