FREE FOOTBALL FOR TEENAGERS AT EASTER
Wirral
Council has announced a series of free football sessions for local
teenagers during the forthcoming Easter holidays.
The sessions, consisting of organised five-a-side and other football
activities will take place at The Oval, Wirral, between 1pm and 3pm
each afternoon between Monday 2nd and Thursday 5th April, and
between Tuesday 10th and Friday 13th April 2012.
Made possible through funding from the Early Intervention Grant, the
sessions are open to both boys and girls aged between 13 and 19 and
advance booking is recommended to secure a place as numbers are
limited. To book, either call in to the Oval or telephone 0151 606
2010 .

ACTIVITY

Local
community funding has been awarded to fund FREE tennis lessons for all
Boys and Girls aged between 8 to 12 years.
The coaching
lessons take place at
New Ferry Park/Stanley Park
Tennis Courts (at the top of Stanley Road, New Ferry)
Every Monday
3.45pm till 4.45pm from 6th February 2012 until 23rd April 2012.
All
equipment is provided. No need to book - just come along and have
some fun.

KEEP FIT -
HAVE FUN
Bebington Youth Club is
running a low level keep fit class during the daytime – for adults and
senior citizens as well as the kids in summer. It will be run by Paula
Mansley who is a Community Sports Development Officer. Her plan is to
support residents to become engaged in healthy family activities. Open
to all, the class is FREE, so all you have to do is come along and join
in the fun. For anyone who attends four sessions they will receive a
token for four free sessions at The Oval Sports Centre.

NEW
FERRY RANGERS JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB STILL NEEDS PLAYERS & VOLUNTEERS
New Ferry Rangers Junior
Football Club are looking for players and volunteers to start and run 3
new junior teams next season.
PLAYERS NEEDED at under 7, 8 and 9. This would be year groups 1,
2 and 3 this school year. Football kit is available and can be issued to
all new recruits.
VOLUNTEER ORGANISERS: We need volunteers to run these new teams.
If you are available on Saturday mornings, the club can give you all the
support you need.

FREE
TENNIS COACHING

"Tennis For
Free" is a new charity working with Wirral Borough Council to offer free
tennis coaching and free use of tennis equipment.
The coaching
lessons take place at
Birkenhead Park Tennis Courts,
Cavendish Road, Birkenhead, Wirral CH41 8AX
Every Sunday
2pm till 4pm.
Parents are
encouraged to stay at the courts to learn how they can play tennis with
their children and perhaps have a bit of a 'knockabout' themselves.
The Tennis For Free coach and assistant will be there to help you.
All equipment and coaching will be provided free for the next two years
from May 2010 until May 2012.
