USEFUL INFORMATION

ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR

Wirral has a telephone actionline called "It's Your Call" for reporting anti-social behaviour in your neighbourhood. This actionline currently operates from 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday. An answerphone service is provided out-of-hours and calls will be returned the next working day. The service is also available through One-Stop Shops across the Borough. If you are experiencing such problems where you live, ring them on 0151 606 2020. Find out more about the service at http://www.wirral.gov.uk/he/Housing/NNT/ItsYourCall.htm

BROKEN PAVINGS, STREET LAMPS ETC

The Streetscene team has been specially set up to deal with all queries regarding broken pavings, unmown grass, blocked gullies, fallen trees, street litter, non-functioning street lamps, broken road signs, etc. The sooner you ring them about it, the sooner it may get fixed. Ring 0151 606 2004.

CRIME - REPORT IT

Although the police cannot be everywhere, we still urge residents to report crimes, acts of vandalism and other disturbances to the police by ringing 0151 777 2080. Ask for a “crime reference number”: this will ensure your report is recorded and will help to win more resources for New Ferry policing. If you wish to remain anonymous, then ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

FREE SMOKE ALARMS

The Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service offer free smoke alarms to all residents. They will also come to your home and fit one if you are unable to do this yourself. This service is FREE to everyone.
They can also carry out a FREE safety check of your home. Simply give them a ring on 0151 296 4000 or write to them, asking for your free smoke alarm:
