New Ferry is
a surprisingly "green" area for an inner city suburb. Not only
does the community sit overlooking the spectacular River Mersey estuary,
it also has a medium sized park (New Ferry Park), a pocket sized
community run park (the Butterfly Park), and a new and growing nature
park (Shorefields).
