I have been based in Thornhill for the past 19 years, building up a very successful business. I started back in 1981, at the age of 15, working in the family floristry business, when I passed my City & Guilds exam. In 1989 I was offered a job in wholesale flowers and distribution, which I did for one year building up a good knowledge of flowers and business skills. Again, I was offered another change of direction to purchase a retail shop, Asters Florist. I jumped at the chance as I preferred being in contact with the general public. After 19 years in Thornhill, I have never looked back.
