After years of suffering every conceivable cameratic catastrophe (full details available on request!) on my travels, I had virtually abandoned all hope of ever getting any good pictures, to the point where I had even stopped taking a camera along. I satisfied myself with a few postcards where I could find them.
Subsequently there are not that many surviving photos of my earlier trips and, inevitably, the majority which have survived were either badly taken, badly developed, badly damaged, or just deadly dull.
I will sift through all the old photos soon, and (if I can find my long-forgotten scanner) post those which are worth a look.
Luckily, the future's looking brighter. I've entered the digital age by acquiring a snazzy new(ish) digital camera, so there will be loads of pics in the future. I tried it out in Egypt, and it worked well (although next time I must remember my battery-charger!)
