Do you find that work can sometimes carry over into your private life?

Do you find it difficult sometimes to switch off your worries and concerns?

Do personal problems sometimes leave you feeling flat, angry or fatigued?

Many of us face an ever-increasing complexity of life, with so much happening NOW. We can tend to feel overloaded, stretched or just worn out.

With that in mind we have developed the Life Skills Programme aimed at assisting people to effectively cope with difficult situations, problems and issues.

The first step is indeed one of the most important and that’s why we have pulled together some of the most useful techniques and methods available for bringing calmness and confidence into your life.

The Life / Work Balance Interactive Workshop looks at how you can develop your own natural skills to bring into balance the many pressures you find in life. Using the latest understanding of the mind body relationship, this workshop will have you trying out new ideas and methods that can make a major impact into the quality of your life.

How could this help me?

Managing your life is often something that we “put on one side” whilst we deal with work, families, children. This can lead to fatigue, stress and illness. This one-day workshop will provide you with ways to help yourself stay healthy, happy and feeling great.

The day is packed with practical information, demonstrations and practice time. By the end of the day you will have personally experienced how to change limiting feelings and negative emotions plus how to reduce stress and recharge your mind and body.

The Life / Work Balance Interactive Workshop is provided by two trained therapists, both of whom run private practices in complementary health care. We work daily with personal and emotional problems in our practices and bring both experience and the latest techniques to our work.

The Tekels Park Estate comprises a residential guesthouse with lecture hall, lounge, dining area and a beautiful 50 acre private park. Offering a peaceful and tranquil environment that is just perfect for personal development.

The workshop runs for a full day starting at 9:30 am and ending at 5:30 pm, with refreshments and a buffet lunch provided. During lunch you may also get time for a look around this scenic private park.

This powerful training session is designed to enhance both your personal and professional life. You will be learning at deep personal levels through your own direct experience. By the end of the day you will have experienced states of deep calmness and relaxation and have the confidence to produce these states whenever you wish.

Together with the training, you will receive a bound training manual and the supporting, Life / Work Balance personal development CD.

The full course content includes:

  • How the mind uses representations
  • How the mind stores and recalls using sensory information
  • Representational systems and their individual value
  • What are sub-modalities
  • Using language frames
  • How we model our world
  • Boundaries and how to expand them
  • How to work with other people’s representations
  • How to gain more choice in your life
  • How to alter your state so as to remain calm, relaxed and confident in difficult situations

 

During the course you will learn:

  • What is fatigue, and what can it lead to
  • How fatigue affects the body
  • The mind body link, how emotions affect the body
  • How to deal with high anxiety states.
  • An overview of psychological principles including NLP
  • Fundamental principles that allow you to control your own state of mind and body
  • How the way we communicate changes our feelings
  • How to develop your own inner self relaxation
  • How to use these deep states of relaxation for your physical and psychological wellbeing
