Interpersonal Awareness Co-Presented by: Alan Simms IEng, MIIE, GHR Reg, GQHP. Shaun Hammond DHC (Hons) UK M.C.H.C.GHR Reg, GQHP.
The aim of this two-day training is to actively demonstrate how to refine your skills at interpersonal communications. How to know what to say and how to use your intuition to full effect. The material contained in this training continues to expand on communications theory and practice developed in the Developing your Listening Skills workshop. What can you tell from someone's body language? What messages do you give with your body language? How can you spot what's not said in a communication? We say a lot about our selves without speaking. Non verbal communication conveys much more than words ever do. Over the years a lot of observational work has led to a greater understanding of body language than ever before. During this training you will learn the most important aspects of body language and get to carry out practical exercises of spotting and using these non verbal behaviours. That knowledge alone could change the way you communicate but add it together with other subtle techniques such as pattern elicitation and you have a detailed understanding of how best to communicate with anybody you meet. This training continues with, and expands on, the linguistic theories present in the Interpersonal Awareness workshop. Practical demonstrations outline how to spot unclear communications and how to challenge them.
How could this help me? Understanding the behaviours of communication can make you far more effective with achieving your communication goals. People run "patterns" in their behaviour, and being able to pick up and use these patterns offers a fantastic way to get your ideas over in a manner that is tailored to whoever you're communicating with. As with all our trainings, this two-day workshop is packed with practical information, demonstrations and practice time. By the end of the workshop you will have personally experienced how to use all of your new psychological and physiological skills. The Interpersonal Awareness Interactive workshop is provided by two trained therapists both of whom run private practices in complementary health care. We work daily with personal and emotional problems in our practices and bring both experience and the latest techniques to our work. The Tekels Park Estate comprises a residential guesthouse with lecture hall, lounge, dining area and a beautiful 50 acre private park. It offers a peaceful and tranquil environment that is just perfect for personal development. The workshop runs for two days starting at 9:30 am and ending at 5:30 pm, with refreshments and a buffet lunch provided. During lunch you may also get time for a look around this scenic private park. This powerful training session is designed to enhance both your personal and professional life. You will be learning at deep personal levels through your own direct experience. Together with the training you will receive a bound training manual containing additional practical material for you to continue developing your skills. Make this your opportunity to take your personal and professional life to new levels of excellence through this journey of personal development and self-exploration.
