Ode to a Blue Snaggletooth
We left early that morning
We hired a car
A Renault Laguna
To take us afar
On course to Birmingham
With all due speed
A day trip out
To fulfill a need
We were passed on the way
By some football fans
Their scarves billowing
From the backs of their vans
We stopped for some food
We were hungry, you see
All nearly arrived
At the great N.E.C.
I ran with a purpose
To hall 3a
The toy and train fair
Would be there all day
We glared at the stalls
Their merchandise stale
Niall thought of France
Chris thought of ale
But then I saw you
I knew what to do
Purchase a Snaggletooth
With an azure hue
I spoke to your seller
A man fat and twee
I told him that you
Would be leaving with me
One-two-five pounds
Was the price to pay
I gave him one hundred
And took you away
I thought you were unique
The only Snaggletooth blue
But the next stall had five
And all cheaper too
But that doesn't matter
I still have my health
And a Blue Snaggletooth
On my cabinet's shelf.
