About Me

I was born on the 2nd January 1959 in Newport Monmouthshire and brought up in the nearby town of Cwmbran. Where I went to school.

I left school in 1977 and first went on the Study Art and Design at foundation level at Newport Art College. I then did a BA (hons) degree in Fine Art at Cardiff which I completed in 1981.

I spent a number of years trying to make it as Fine Artist, with some sucess and have had Work exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in Wales and London including: Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 1990, and various private galleries. Works in Public and Private collections in the UK and abroad.

Apart my life long commitment to art I worked in a number a short term jobs including a period as a photographer in a museum, I recent years I have been working as a freelance Web designer.

My interests apart from the above include UFOs The Paranormal, Conspiracy Theories, Science, Astronomy, Free Energy, Inventing things, reading, nice food and drink, shopping, visiting Art galleries, Music of various types, Clothes and Fashion, going out to pubs and clubs etc.

(Nicolette) Amanda Berry was born in Newport Monmouthshire in 1959 although always interested in painting and drawing as a child, She became involved in the late 1970s when she went on to study Art and Design at examination level. After leaving school she went on to study art at degree level in Cardiff and obtained a BA hounours degree in Fine Art.

Amanda has exhibited fairly widely in the past and had works in a number of presitigious exhibitions including the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, The Stowells Trophy exhibition (again at the Royal Academy) and a variety of Eisteddfods in Wales. She has works in private collections in the UK and accross the Globe and also some works in public collections.

(Nicolette) Amanda Berry now lives and works in Cardiff and having been involved with both "New Media" and the Internet for about 10 years, has embraced the Internet as an effective means of communication and sees it as a effective way for Artists to show and market their work, which has empowered artists to market their work direct to the public, in ways that were not available before.

Although primarily a representational landscape painter. Amanda works in a variety of styles and mediums, including abstract and Surreal works, still-lifes, portraits, drawings and cartoon style works and illustrations. She also works with "new media" and Graphic Design and has designed and created graphics for the Internet and for printed media.
