The Clocks.
Research

In January, 2007 we spent two days searching the Hans Renolds archives at Manchester Central Library.  The only mention of clocks we found was in the Head Office minutes for 3rd August 1915.  This was obviously our clock!  They must have expanded the system at a later date as I remember a cupboard full of slave clocks when my father had the clock later.

As befits a company of engineers they had big plans for the clocks.  It was to be recognised as a public clock, there was to be a daily Post Office time signal and a special bracket to display the clock at the new West Gate house.  The clock was fixed in December 1915.
