You can install the database in two ways:

Install database from desktop PC

1 .To install EZCam, first install the application in the usual way from android market.

2. Obtain your database from your chosen vendor

Note: You may need to subscribe to your vendor in order to obtain the database.

3. When choosing a database from PocketGPSWorld, make sure you select "Other - CSV" for the SatNav system selection.

4. Click continue and choose your camera selection. Ensure this is the "Single file with all cameras" selection for the appropriate country. Eg: "UK - single file with all cameras"

5. Download the database to a folder on your desktop PC.

6. Now open the .zip file that you have just downloaded and extract the contents.

7. There will be a file called pocketgps_??_sc.csv (where ?? is your country code). This file needs to be transferred to your SD card on your android phone.

8. Connect your G1 phone to your PC with the USB cable and allow the PC to mount the phones SD card.

9. Copy the file in 7) to the root folder of your sdcard or a folder one level down eg:

/pocketgps_uk_sc.csv
or
/EZCam/pocketgps_uk_sc.csv

10. You can now start EZCam from your phones application menu.

11. Choose "Menu", "Database Location". EZCam will ask you to select the location of the database. Pick the folder you copied the .csv file into and select the file.



12. Click OK and the database will now load. EZCam is now ready to use.

Install database from PocketGPSWorld

1 .To install EZCam, first install the application in the usual way from android market.

2. Go to PocketGPSWorld website by clicking "Menu", "Get Database". This will start the web browser.

2. Obtain your PocketGPSWorld database from http://www.pocketgpsworld.com

Note: You will need to subscribe to PocketGPSWorld in order to obtain the database.

3. When choosing a database from PocketGPSWorld, make sure you select "Other - CSV" for the SatNav system selection.

4. Click continue and choose your camera selection. Ensure this is the "Single file with all cameras" selection for the appropriate country. Eg: "UK - single file with all cameras"

5. Download the database. This will be stored in /sdcard/download

6. Start EZCam

7. Choose "Menu", "Database Location".

8. Pick the database zip file you have just downloaded. EZCam will now unzip the files to /sdcard/EZCam

9. You will then be asked to pick the .csv file as the database. Select the /EZCam directory.

7. There will be a file called pocketgps_??_sc.csv (where ?? is your country code). Pick this one.

12. Click OK and the database will now load. EZCam will now be ready to use.
