Rugby Club Campaign History

4th December 2001  Pre-application letter received from GPN Acquisition acting for Hutchison 3G informing us that they intend to site a mobile phone mast on one of the floodlight pylons at Ampthill Rugby Club. We consider that this is too close to a Lower and Middle school and request a meeting with their representative.

16th January 2002  Meeting with GPN representative at the Wingfield Club. We expressed our concerns and suggested alternative sites away from the main residential areas and schools.

24th January 2002  Meeting with the Chairman of Ampthill Rugby Club at which we handed over several letters of support received from concerned parents.

1st July 2002  Letter received from GPN informing us that they are not proceeding with the application for the Rugby Club site.
