Preseason Cricket Nets


This season, preseason nets will be held at the Hawthorns School, Bletchingley, Surrey, starting from Tuesday March 29th and continuing for a period of 10 weeks. Click on the map for a graphic of the location of the school.

Directions

From Reigate and Redhill
Take the A25 west and proceed through Nutfield. Turn left (marked Merstham) after you have passed over the M23 motorway. At the crossroads, turn left and the entrance to The Hawthorns will be found on the right at the foot of the hill. Turn in carefully on the
bend.

From Oxted and Godstone
Take the A25 east towards Redhill. Pass through Bletchingley village and turn right after the Red Lion Pub. Proceed to the bottom of the hill where the entrance to The Hawthorns will be found on the right. Turn in carefully on the bend.

From Chipstead
Proceed to Merstham on the A23. Pass through Merstham village and by the clock take the left-hand fork down School Hill. Travel across the Merstham estate and under the M25. After sharp right and left-hand bends, you pass the exit to The Hawthorns. The entrance is found on the left after 100m. Turn in carefully.

From Kingswood
Take the A217 towards Reigate. Pass over the M25, turn left into Gatton Bottom and follow the road to where it joins the A23 turn right. Pass through Merstham village and by the clock take the left-
hand fork down School Hill. Travel across the Merstham estate and under the M25. After sharp right and left-hand bends, you pass the exit to The Hawthorns. The entrance is found on the left after 100m. Turn in carefully.

From Horley
Take the A23 north to Redhill and the A25 from Redhill Station up Redstone Hill. Travel through Nutfield Village (21/2 miles). After you have passed over the M23 motorway, turn left (marked Merstham). At the crossroads, turn left again and the entrance to The Hawthorns will be round on the right at the foot of the hill. Turn in carefully on the bend.

From Caterham
Take the A22 (Caterham by-pass) to Godstone village and then the A25 towards Redhill. Pass through Bletchingley village and turn right after the Red Lion Pub. Proceed to the bottom of the hill where the entrance to The Hawthorns will be found on the right. Turn in carefully on the bend.

Alternatively from the centre of Caterham proceed up Church Hill and turn left into Stanstead Road. Continue along into Whitehill Lane, Brewer Street and Sandy Lane. At the crossroads, turn right
and proceed to the bottom of the hill where the entrance to The Hawthorns will be found on the right.


Facilities
The school is very well equipped to allow us to train for the forhcoming season, with multiple nets available in their large sports hall.
