The Raiders first league game was against a very well organized and pacey team. The White Team started and played a good game but unfortunately conceded a goal on 12mins with the 1st Half finishing 1 - 0. The 2nd Half started with the Raiders playing quite defensive and again conceding a goal on 42mins, they then organized themselves and created a couple of goal scoring opportunities which were saved by Broxbourne's Keeper. Raiders new signing TS played on the Left Wing in the 2nd Half and showed some promise. Game finished 2 - 0

The Blue Team found themselves out passed and paced by Broxbourne's 2nd Team and conceded a goal on 18mins with the 1st Half finishing 1 - 0. The 2nd Half was pretty similar to the 1st with the Raiders on the back foot but the defenders NM & LM dug in and cleared the box several times from Broxbourne's quick attacking play. Unfortunately 2 further goals were conceded on 45 & 49mins. There were hardly any goal scoring opportunities for the Blues and the Game finished 3 - 0.

The White Team started well against Minchenden and were the better team but unfortunately found themselves 1 - 2 down at half time. They dug even deeper in the 2nd half and created several good goalscoring opportunities but could not find the back of the net. This game finished 1 - 2.

The Blue Team were outplayed by a strong Minchenden Team from the kick off and conceded the first goal in under a minute gone. They struggled through out the game to control Minchenden's C Mid player (No.10) who ripped holes through the midfield and defense to either set up goals or score himself. The Blues struggled to create any good attacking situations and conceded 4 goals in both halves. The Game finished 0 - 8.

Goalscorers AW
Man of Match TS, AW

The White Team found themselves defending from the whistle and unfortunately conceded two early goals against a very strong Park View Rangers side. They settled down and held PVR's attackers back only conceding one further goal with the 1st Half finishing 3 - 0. In the 2nd Half they seemed to lose there determination and due to some basic defensive errors, leaving PVR top striker unmarked on the far post, conceded 5 more goals. The Game finished 8 - 0.

The Blue Team took the bit between their teeth from the whistle and put PVR 2nd team on the back foot but could not find a way through there defense. The Raiders were awarded a penalty after about 20min but unfortunately AW placed it straight into the Keepers hands, He made amends for this with a beautifully struck free kick on the stroke of half time to put the Raiders in the lead (0 - 1). The Blues seemed to sit back at the beginning of the 2nd Half allowing PVR more possession and eventually they leveled the game. They then picked themselves up but could not find the winning goal that they deserved. The game finished 1 - 1

The White Team started well against Enfield Colts and found they had most of the possession. Then on 20mins Enfield Colts attacked and found a player unmarked on the far post, who headed the ball home to put them ahead 0 - 1. The second half found the Raiders attacking Enfield Colts at all opportunities. SB picked up the ball in his own half and sprinted toward Enfield Colts goal and calmly slotted the ball past the keeper to level the game, 1 - 1 on 30mins. Then on 40mins there was confusion in the defense and the ball did not get cleared and Enfield Colts striker got his foot to the ball which he knocked past NT who had come out to close him down. The Remaining 10mins had the Raiders attacking Enfield Colts from all directions but unfortunately the goal evaded them. The game finished 1 - 2.

The Blue Team settled down quickly and took control of the game and JC opened his league goal account with a beautiful strike on 6mins to put the Raiders ahead 1 - 0. The remainder of the first half was a physical end to end match but the Raiders had the upper hand. The first half finished 1 - 0. Enfield Colts came out stronger at the start of the second half and DJ had to make a few finger tip saves to keep the Raiders in the lead and drawing the match overall. Pulses raised on 40min when JC was hacked down in Enfield Colts penalty area and referee announced "play-on" which then saw Enfield Colts breaking towards the Raiders goal but the Raiders defense closed them down to prevent them from conceding. With only 5mins to go AW, in possession of the ball tussled with Enfield Colts defender and broke towards their goal and scored the winner, that earned the Raiders their first 3 points in the league. This game finished 2 - 0

Goalscorers AW, JC
Man of Match SB, LM

The White Team had to play the first half very defensively and contained Cheshunt Youth most of the half apart from an error on 14mins, which allowed Cheshunt to score to make it 1-0 at halftime. Cheshunt started the 2nd half very strong and within 8mins opened up the defense and scored. The White Team found themselves in their own half most of the game conceding again on 35mins. There was very little attacking opportunities created by the White Team and the game finished 3-0.

The Blue Team were the better team in the first half and all players showed hunger to get the ball but unfortunately they did not create any goal scoring chances and the score was 0-0 at halftime. The Blue Team seemed to start the 2nd half flat and the hunger had gone, which allowed Cheshunt to score on 29mins. Cheshunt scored their 2nd goal when the blue team passed across their own box. After this the Blues hunger came back in full force and they attacked Cheshunt at all opportunities, causing confusion in their defense which allowed AW to score on 40mins and JC to poach the 2nd goal on 42mins. Unfortunately the hunger returned to the blue team too late and when they conceded a scrappy goal on 49mins the game was beyond their reach finishing 3 - 2.

The Raiders found themselves out played by a very strong ex-super league team, who's set pieces from corners and general play opened up the raiders defense very easily. Although in total 10 goals were conceded and there were no scoring opportunities for the Raiders, the players kept there heads up and kept going.

This weeks performance was an improvement on last week.

The White Team started with the sub goalkeeper AMC who made some good saves to keep the Game 0 - 0 at half time. Unfortunately there were two soft goals conceded in the second half and the game ended 2 - 0, but the Raiders played with more passion and hunger this week and made Abbey Yth work harder for their goals.

The Blue Team found themselves under extreme pressure from the kick off and conceded the first goal in under a minute. The Raiders conceded another goal in the first half after 16mins, but did have a few goal scoring opportunities, and the first half finished 2 - 0. The Raiders started the 2nd Half hungry and put Abbey Youth under pressure and eventually JC broke free on the left wing and squeezed a shot into the net for the Raiders first and only goal in this double header. Unfortunately they conceded 2 further goals and the Game finish 4 - 1.

Both Raiders teams were under strength today due to illness and holidays.

The White Team found themselves on the back foot to start with and unfortunately conceded an early goal when a Waltham Cross player was not closed down outside the box. They picked themselves up and took the goal to the opposition but unfortunately couldn't find that final ball to level the game. Then midway through the 1st Half Waltham Cross's Winger lobbed the ball into the box which DJ did his best to control but the Refs decision was that it crossed the line and the 2nd Goal was awarded. CC then decided to test there keeper from the resulting goal kick and found the back of the net. The remainder of the half found the Raiders attacking Waltham Cross, it looked as though WM was going to level the game when there keeper spilled a shot from LH but unfortunately it found the keepers hands. the 1st half finished 2 - 1. The 2nd Half was end to end but both defenses closed the game down quickly and no further goals were scored and the game finished 2 - 1.

The Blue Team took control of the first half from the whistle which saw a couple of shots saved by a skillful Waltham Cross keeper. The Raiders had all the possession and at the close of the 1st Half RA squeezed a shot across the goal mouth which deflected off the keeper into the net to put the Raiders 0 - 1 up. The foot came off the pedal at the beginning of the 2nd Half and sub keeper AMC pulled off some nail biting saves. The game seemed to level out for the rest of the match and looked destined for a draw until in the dying minutes AW broke down the right wing and managed to cross the ball into the path of JR who nut-megged the keeper to win the game. The game finished 0 - 2

The Raiders ground out a spectacular win and the spectators were gifted with a thrilling game of football from two equally matched teams.

The Raiders were again a few players down due to illness and half term.

The White Team played an excellent game against Broxbourne closing them down quickly when they had possession and passing the ball well to attack them. The Raiders seem to have earned there just deserts when they were awarded a free kick for hand ball on 6 mins on the half way line, which was powerfully struck by CC straight into the net only to find the Ref disallowed it, as in his opinion it should have been indirect. The Raiders continued through both halves to pressure Broxbourne and the only thing missing was a goal. The game finished 0 - 0.

The Blue Team struggled in every situation against Broxbourne conceding goals on 12 & 16mins as they found themselves chasing shadows. The First Half finished 0 - 2. There was high hopes for the Raiders in the 2nd Half but it seemed there hunger was not there as they found themselves 2nd to every ball and conceded another 4 goals within the first 12mins of the 2nd half. There was a glimmer of hope for a consolation goal when DG lobbed the keeper only to be saved by the cross bar. The Game finished 0 - 6

The Raiders gained there third win in this strong performance against Southgate.

The Blue Team started with a new line up which saw AW, SM & JC starting on the bench. The Raiders contained the game well and pressed Southgate at all opportunities. It looked as though the Raiders were to go 0 - 1 up when LM struck the ball and lobbed Southgate's keeper only to be denied by the crossbar. The 1st Half finished 0 - 0. The 2nd Half saw the introduction of the benched players which opened up the game into more attacking from the Raiders. The Raiders scored the first goal from a shot from AW on 39mins which was followed up from on 44mins when AW connected with a corner from SM to bury the ball with a half volley. It was not always plain sailing as DJ had to stretch across the goal to pull off some super saves to gain a clean sheet. The game finished 0 - 2.

The White Team as with the Blues contained the ball well and pushed forward at Southgate but could not seem to find the final ball to pressure Southgate's keeper. WM had a good opportunity to put the Raiders ahead on around 20mins but unfortunately didn't connect with the ball. The Raiders defense held solid to deny Southgate in several situations. The 1st half finished 0 - 0. The introduction of SB at half time gave the Raiders a huge advantage in attacking Southgate with his pace on the right wing. Then on 42mins Southgate managed to strike a lob towards the Raiders goal which NT got his finger tips to, only to find it dipped under the crossbar. The Raiders determination grew and on 48mins PA pressured Southgate's defender who nervously passed the ball back to his keeper which was cleared straight into the path of SB who slotted the ball home for the Raiders goal. The game finished 1 - 1

The day started bad for the Raiders Home leg when just before kick off they were informed that the League Referee would not be there but luckily Tom stepped forward to undertake the challenge.

The Whites played first and controlled Cheshunt in the first half and had handfuls of scoring opportunities, unfortunately CC missed a penalty, awarded as Cheshunt deliberately handled the ball in the box. The half finished 0 - 0 but the Raiders should have been 3 or 4 goals ahead. At the half time break AMC, who had a great first half in goal, finger mysteriously started to swell as was unable to continue so CC put his gloves on. The 2nd Half again saw the Raiders attacking but they allowed Cheshunt strikers to drift behind their defense when they pushed up and the Raiders were punished with 3 conceded goals. The game finished 0 - 3.

The Blue Team did not fair as well as the Whites and Cheshunt had their first shot on goal straight from the kick as the Raiders did not close them down. Cheshunt skillfully passed around the Raiders midfield and with 4 attacking players, ran havoc with the Raiders defense which resulted in the Raiders conceding 4 Goals in the first half. In the 2nd Half the Raiders started to play and chased back to prevent any further goals being conceded but all was too late. The Game finished 0 - 4.

The White Team started against Panathinaikos and dominated the 1st Half and with a poach goal from SB on 7mins the Raiders went into the 2nd Half 0 - 1 up. Panathinaikos came out in the 2nd Half with total determination to change the result and the Raiders found themselves on the back foot. Due a lack of tracking and closing down the Raiders conceded 4 goals, losing the game 4 - 1.

The Blue Team also didn't fair too well against Panathinaikos Youths strong second team and found it difficult to keep possession. The Raiders found themselves 3 - 0 down in the 1st Half. The 2nd Half was pretty similar and the Raiders conceded a further 3 goals, losing the game 6 - 0.

The White Team showed their determination from the start against Minchenden in and end to end battle, but then on 19mins one of Minchenden's Players found an extra yard in front of goal, struck and put them ahead. The 1st Half Finished 1 - 0. The Raiders fighting spirit was even stronger in the Second Half but unfortunately DJ made a mistake with a bread & butter save and Minchenden were 2 - 0 up. The White Team's grit doubled and created several goalscoring opportunities. Then on 40mins CC cleared his area up to TS, who lobbed the ball towards the keeper, which RA attacked to score for the Raiders. The game had draw written all over it but Minchenden's defense held tight. The game finished 2 - 1.

The Blue Team's determination was also high as they tried to control Minchenden's strong midfielder (10) but only achieved this after he had scored 2 super goals. The Raiders looked as though they had pulled a goal back on 22mins with a trademark AW lob to the far post but the Raiders were denied by a finger tip save from Minchenden's keeper. The 1st Half finished 2 - 0. The Raiders kept their heads high throughout the 2nd Half and both teams were evenly matched. The Raiders conceded a further 3 goals only due to Minchenden having the upper hand when it came to the finish. The Game finished 5 - 0.

The Blue Team started against a strong attacking side and found themselves under extreme pressure from the kick off which resulted in a goal being conceded on 2mins. They then settled and held back the onslaught for 20mins with some good defensive play and goalkeeping. Then a few cracks appeared and they found themselves punished with 2 more goals. The 1st Half finished 0 - 3. PVR started even stronger in the 2nd Half, with the Raiders struggling to gain possession and hesitating in closing down which resulted in a further 4 goals being conceded. There were a few signs of the Raiders attacking and passing skills at the end of the half but unfortunately the final ball didn't materialize. The Game finished 0 - 7.

The White Team set out to pull the game back, closing down every ball to give PVR no time at all. They attack PVR relentlessly but a solid defense held them back. The 1st Half finished 0 - 0. A break for The Raiders finally came 2mins into the 2nd Half when the Ref awarded them a corner, which was sweetly struck by DG straight into the path of a hungry CC who smashed it into the net. The game became more physical and the Raiders rose to the occasion with the game looking set to finish with a win for the Raiders. Then on 45mins the Ref awarded PVR a free kick due to a late tackle, PVR struck the ball into the goal. The Raiders kept the pressure on but could not find the 2nd goal they deserved. The game finished 1 - 1.

The Blue Team started against Enfield Colts but seemed to be 2nd to every ball, which put them under extreme pressure. This was compounded when they conceded two early goals. The first half finished 2 - 0. After the half-time team talk, the Raiders transformed into a different team and turned the tables on Enfield Colts. Then 7mins into the 2nd Half the Ref awarded a penalty to Enfield Colts, when the ball was handle by LM in the box. DJ pull off a great save to keep the Raiders in the game. The Raiders luck seemed to change when Enfield Colts keeper handled the ball out of the box and AW drilled the ball, from the free kick, into the top of the net. The Raiders kept the pressure up and pushed up looking for the equalizer. Then with 5mins left to play Enfield Colts striker gain possession and with the Raiders struggling to get back he scored the 3rd Goal. The Raiders kept attacking right up to the final whistle but could not break down Enfield Colts defense. The game finished 3 - 1.

The White Team also found themselves under pressure early and had trouble controlling the Colts striker who poached a goal on 4min when the ball fell to him after a great save by NT. The Raiders upped their game after this goal and had a lot of shots at Enfield Colts goal. Then the Colts took a shot on 13mins which hit the post and ricocheted straight to a Colts player who scored their 2nd Goal. DG shot at goal from the kick off, which took the Colts keeper by surprise and he fumbled it into his own net. The first half finished 2 - 1. The Raiders had most of the possession through the 2nd half and deserved the equalizer but unfortunately it was not forthcoming. The game finished 2 - 1

The determination to win showed from the kick off with the White Team pushing Waltham Cross Youth into a defensive stance. With only 7mins gone TS made one of his trademark runs up the left wing and crossed the ball towards the goal, which took Waltham Cross's keeper by surprise and ended up in the net. Waltham Cross seem to settle after this and the game became more end to end action. It look as those Waltham Cross had equalized when a corner clearance from LH head lobbed DJ and fortunately hit the post, which DJ quick reactions stopped it ending up in the net. The first half finished 1 - 0. The Raiders kept the pressure on Waltham Cross Youth all the way through the 2nd Half but could not find anymore goals that they deserved. The game finished 1 - 0.

The Blue Team kept the spectators hearts in their mouths as they found themselves having to defend as often as they attacked. There were several goal scoring opportunities for the Raiders to put the game to bed but they could not score. The game eventually finished with a 0 - 0 draw.

The Blue Team were the better team in the first match and were awarded a penalty on 5mins when LH was hacked down in the area. AW powerfully struck the ball into the net to put the Raiders ahead. Unfortunately they then seemed to sit back to defend the lead and found themselves under pressure from the Panathinaikos attack and eventually conceded a goal on 15mins when a pass found their striker unmarked in front of the goal. The 1st Half finished 1 - 1. The Raiders came out in the second half determined to change the result but again Panathinaikos found extra room down the left wing and lobbed NT to put them ahead 1 - 2 on 29mins. The Raiders increased the pressure and equalized the game on 33mins when LH poached a goal in a goal mouth scramble. Then on 45mins LH chased a ball that looked set to go off for a goal kick and turned it towards goal with a super strike which won the game for the Raiders. The Game finished 3 - 2.

The White Team didn't fair as well as they were playing against Panathinaikos stronger and more skillful team who opened up the Raiders defense with there accurate one touch football. The Raiders struggled throughout the first half to close them down and gain possession which resulted in them conceding 5 goals. The Raiders came out with more determination in the 2nd half and finally created a few goal scoring opportunities only for them to be saved or go wide of the target. The Raiders conceded another 2 goals in this half but battled on with the heads held high. The game finished 0 - 7.
