Conductor: Martin McHale
Martin McHale was born in Stirling, Scotland. He studied music at Huddersfield School of Music,
the Royal Northern College of Music and the National Centre for Orchestral Studies, London.
He commenced his career as a freelance trumpet player with orchestras throughout the country
including the Halle, Royal Liverpoool Philharmonic, Scottish National Opera and the BBC Philharmonic.
He joined the Orchestra of Welsh National Opera in 1980 and has conducted CCSO since the summer of 1989.
