Jon Wakefield, Musical Director

Jon has led In Accord during its recent period of growth and development.  His musical accomplishments are as varied as an In Accord concert programme and embrace other choirs in which he sings and directs, a rock group where he plays keyboard and an a capella quartet ("Uncorked") of which he comprises the bottom quarter.  He has even flirted with Barbershop! 

He has worked with adult and young singers for many years, directing performances at Nottingham's Albert Hall, Royal Concert Hall, Playhouse and the Covent Garden Royal Opera House (Linbury Studio Theatre), as well as many local and regional venues over recent years.

Dave Quick, Bass

Jon and Dave have spent much time over the last few years writing a series of dance musicals, all with a scientific basis, including Stardance (now published by Piper Publishing) Twister's Run, Hive, Electric Metal, Little Blue and most recently Salmonella.

The Rest of Us

A wonderful mix of ages, personalities and occupations, including teachers and lecturers, medics, business people, IT specialists and students.  Some belong to other choirs as well as enjoying singing with In Accord. 

There is a good social atmosphere as well as lots of support.  Numerous social activities enable new members to become quickly integrated into the choir.
