Scotstoun Woodies
Hello and welcome to Scotstoun Woodies' website.
The
Woodcraft Folk is an international educational movement
for children and young people designed to develop self-confidence, co-operation
and awareness of the environment.
Scotstoun Woodies (Woodcraft Folk) are based at West Glasgow's
Scotstoun
Primary School. But our members come from other schools as well.
We currently have over 70 members (plus grown ups) ranging in age from 6 to 13.
Kids belong to one of five groups depending on age:
- Woodchips (Under 6's)
- Younger Elfins (6-7)
- Older Elfins (8-9)
- Pioneers (10-14)
During term time we meet every Tuesday evening. Additionally, we organise
camping and hostelling trips 3-4 times a year
