Chapter 1 “Club”

Friday night. Rebecca sat at her dressing table putting on her make up for the one night a week that she had for herself. Behind her there was a click, as the door to her room opened. She looked into the mirror to see Clare walk in behind her. Rebecca got up from her dressing table, but never turned round. Clare was behind her now, “if you must go out, why dress like a tart” she said.

“It’s the one night a week that you let me out, so I lime to look my best for it, but if it displeases you then I will change”. Rebecca looked at herself in the mirror, her full length black corset over a white t-shirt, short black pleated skirt and black calf length boots.

“Let me help you with that” Clare said softly into her ear. She placed her knee in the small on Rebecca’s back and pulled on the cords of her corset. A shot of pain shot across Rebecca’s chest and her breathing swallowed as Clare pulled it tight around her. “There nice and tight, just the way I like to see it” Clare said.

“Thank you” Rebecca said in a whisper. Clare placed her hands on Rebecca’s shoulders and pulled her back against herself, putting her arms across her breasts. The gold ring on Clare’s finger glinted in the light. Rebecca looked at the ring, the word Rebecca was engraved on it. On her own finger was a silver ring with Clare’s name engraved on it.

Clare kissed Rebecca on the ear. “Now to make sure you behave yourself my dear”. She pick up a silver chain from off the table and placed it round Rebecca’s whist, then using a small lock she clicked it into place, she then pulled on it making sure it was tight. Rebecca closed her eyes, not wishing to see what else Clare was going to add. Clare then pulled one of Rebecca’s hand behind her back, she felt the coldness on the metal as it closed round her wrist, both cuff’s on one hand. The chain let out a jingle as Clare lifted it. “Please, not behind my back” Rebecca said in a whisper. She felt her hand fall to her side, but she knew, that her wrist was now bound to her whist. At last she opened her eyes.

Clare stepped back “There my sweet, how I look after you, don’t you think?”

“Yes mistress” Rebecca replied her voice just a whisper. She turned to face Clare bowing her head as she did so.

“Pardon?”

“Yes Mistress” Rebecca replied, But only a little louder. Clare then removed her ring and then placed it on the table.

“You had better be going now, Emma is all ready here ” Rebecca picked up her jacket and left the house and got into Emma’s car for the 30 minute drive to the club.

Rebecca looked out the side window of the car into the night, the main road was clear and Emma was going to make up of lost time.  The street lights soon flashed past, as the car picked up speed.

“I need a drink” Emma Said at last. “

Humm, pardon” Rebecca Said turning her head to look at her.

“I need a drink, don’t you Bex’s?”

“Sounds good ”

“ho come on, cheer up it’s going to be a good night some dancing, joking, look at the men, what can go wrong”.

“I must behave myself”

“Rubbish, you go out one a week, and still you worry”

“I can’t help it” Rebecca turned back to the side window. “She owns me now” she said in a whisper.

“Please don’t start on like that, what ever you did, can’t be that bad can it?”, “Bugger red again” Emma said pulling up sharp at a red light, the chain that Rebecca had hidden under her jacket slipped out, Emma lifted it with two fingers “what did you do wrong this time?”

“I talked back” Rebecca replied

“What!” snorted Emma “you talked back, and for that you have this, on your night out?” she dropped the chain in to Rebecca’s lap.

“Please don’t question…..” Rebecca stopped herself.

After a moment of silence Emma turned her head to look at Rebecca her deep blue eyes showing concern “look Bex’s what ever you did, I’m here for you, you know that don’t you?”

“Yes M I know that.”

“Hey how about some music?” Emma turned on the CD player and the car filled with dance music, the red light changed to green and the street lights flashed passed again, like a big world wide night club.

They pulled in the clubs car park, Emma all most jumped out of the car said “At last I was starting to feel like we where never going to get here.” By now Rebecca had got a bit more into the idea of having a good time, the music in the car had made her feel better.

“First again ladies” the door man said as they walked passed.

“You know us first in - last out” Emma called back to him,

Rebecca just smiled, pulling her jacket round herself. “Come on Bex’s leave him alone” called Emma who by now was holding the door open. “The one you like is in here.” Rebecca nipped in the closing.

“Evening Ladies” said a blond haired door man, he looked into Rebecca’s face, smiled and then winked at her. Rebecca never said anything, she just blushed. Emma grabbed Rebecca’s arm and whispered into her ear “later” and then set off into the club crying out “Come on I need a drink, and so do you”

Inside there was more staff then punters, the music blasted out, lights flashed, and the air was hung with a mist from the smoke machine. At the bar a small young lady was serving someone else, Emma was all ready jigging to the music. “Two Cokes with ice and lemon please” Emma said over the music when it was her turn.

Rebecca looked round the room trying to see if there was anyone there that she knew. Emma passed Rebecca her drink and smiled at her then turned to walk away. Just as Rebecca was going to follow Emma the young lady behind the bar called to Rebecca “are you going to dance for us tonight?”

Rebecca called back “maybe, we shall see.”

“You know she will” shouted Emma who was slipping out of the door that lead to the smoking room and must have heard what was said. “Rebecca all ways dances” Rebecca turned round smiled at the lady behind the bar and shrugged her shoulders “looks like I will be dancing then”, and went after Emma.

Outside in the smoking room, a large fire was burning in the grate, two members of staff where standing next to it smoking and joking “evening ” they said almost at the same time as Rebecca walked by. She smiled back at them and asked them if they where ok and made some small talk. She then walked over the where Emma had sat down “you not going to sit down then Bex’s” said Emma

“I can’t M” came the reply

“Why not?”

“My corsets to tight, Clare gave it a good pulling before I left the house” Emma grabbed at the chain, Rebecca turned and made Emma miss she tried again but still missed “to fast for you” joked Rebecca.

“Well there’s not a lot we can do about your corset now is there” Rebecca gave her a sideways look “True” she said. Emma grabbed at the chain again and this time go it, she started laughing like a drain “O come on I’m only pulling your chain” she said tugging on it, Rebecca tutted.

By now more people had started to arrive.

Emma turned to Rebecca and said “well I’m going in for a dance, you coming or what?” Rebecca held her ground for a second. “Come on you tart” Emma called again, all ready half way to the door. Rebecca followed after her.

On the dance floor no one else was dancing yet, but the music was flowing from song to song keeping up a good dance beat. Emma put her bag down and started to dance. That kind of dance you get a night clubs, not too much movement, but a little, just enough to say you’re dancing. “Come on then if you’re going to dance” Emma shouted to Rebecca.

Rebecca looked round the room, put down her bag and joined Emma on the dance floor. Some years ago, Rebecca had gone to dance school, and was able to dance like they do in the music videos, so that’s how she danced. She did not care that there was soon a lot of people watching her, in fact she loved it, and played to the crowd to entertain them.

Soon more people started to dance and Rebecca’s legs where starting to ache, she turned to Emma and made the drink and smoke hand signals Emma nodded and picking up there bags and made for the bar.

Out of the corner of her eye Rebecca spotted someone moving round the back of some dancers, she had that feeling that you get when you think you know someone, but you’re not sure. She tried to get a better look at them, but a cloud of smoke from the smoke machine fogged her view, and by the time it cleared he or she was gone. Rebecca started walking over to the bar; she was feeling, jumpy. “Bex’s!” She span round on her heels all most jumping out of her skin. Emma pressed a drink to her hand “are you ok?” she questioned over the music “I’m fine, just need some air” Rebecca said walking to the door “what’s up” shouted Emma after her, lifting her hands up all most spilling her drink all over herself

Back outside in the smoking room it was cold, but standing next to the fire was nice and warm, Emma had been held up at the door, as there was a lot of people going in just as they where coming out, but Rebecca had smiled sweetly at some bloke and he had let her pass, so was all ready standing there. As Emma walk across to her she mouthing what-what.

“Nothing” replied Rebecca, but Emma was not going to be brushed off so easy, something was up with Rebecca and she was going to find out what it was and why it was. This had been going on for to long. She grabbed Rebecca’s arm and pulled her over to where no one was able to hear them talk. “Right it’s time you told me what was going on”.

Rebecca’s eyes dropped and looked at the floor. When she looked back up Emma was looking at something behind her. Emma opened her mouth but nothing came out she closed it. She tried again but the same thing happened again.

Rebecca looked at her gone out “M are you ok” she asked.

Emma just raised her hand to point as something behind Rebecca. Rebecca felt someone watching her. She turned round to see who. “Clare” she stammered stepping back into Emma, who was backed up against a wall.

Clare’s eyes looked like they where on fire, “Don’t say anything Rebecca, I’ve all ready seen too much for you to talk your way out of this one” Rebecca moved to one side allowing Emma to step forwards. “Hello Emma, how’s things in the free world”

“Pardon” said Emma, Emma looked at Rebecca. Clare flashed a ring in front of Rebecca before putting it on own finger. Rebecca’s head drop forward, so she was looking at the floor. Emma’s eyes widened at the sight of this.

“Is everything ok here” a voice said, it was the blond door man.

Clare turned round and said “yes every thing's just fine” she smiled at him. “Very good then, see you all later” he turned and walked away.

“Well, are we having a good time” Clare asked them both.

“I was” said Emma “but then you turned up.”

“Pardon, I don’t see any reason why you should stop having a good time, due to me being here, don’t you agree my sweet thing…” she said drawing out the thing part and looking at Rebecca “I’m also here to have a good time, no harm in that is there.”

“What have you done to my friend” Emma protested

“Who?” asked Clare

“Bex’s” Replied Emma

“Her name is Rebecca or sweet thing is that not right, Sweet thing…” “Mistress is right” Rebecca said in a whisper.

“Look let’s not all fall out over something silly like this, let’s just all have a good time, I’ll get you both a drink” said Clare “coke with lemon and ice?” “Yes that’s right” said Emma letting her guard down for a second, maybe Rebecca was only playing a game?

“Rebecca, coke with lemon and ice, 3 times” Clare snapped

“Yes Mistress” Rebecca turned and walked away. Emma watched her go

“Is she just playing a game or is it some kind of roll play, you know some kind of sex thing that’s just got out of hand” Emma asked Clare

“Ha sex thing, ho please she’s a woman, and so am, I don’t go with girls, I’ve never done anything sexual with her, I don’t think my hold on her is that strong” she paused for a second or two “I control her not own her”

“Funny Bex’s said you owned her when we where driving down here” replied Emma

“I’m only in this for the money, Rebecca has it and I want it” Clare went on “and by controlling Rebecca, I get it” she smiled a Emma. Who had a far away look in her eyes.

Rebecca returned with the drinks. “Relax my sweet thing” Clare said taking hold of the chain round Rebecca’s whist and pulling her down on to the bench that herself and Emma where now sitting on. Rebecca sat upright and seemed to Emma to be taking very shallow breaths. At last Emma spoke, looking at Rebecca “I understand, what’s going on now and well, it’s your life” Rebecca just sat there going white. “But I don’t understand why?”

“Can I just say I love your dress” said some girl that had just walked over to Rebecca cutting off Emma mid sentence. The girl brushed her hand down the side of Rebecca’s corset, only removing it when she reached the chain.

“I was only just saying the same thing to Emma here” said Clare in reply “Hello Emma” said the girl “I’m Tracy that’s Phil” she pointed to a guy in a blue shirt and jeans who waved and then had a big swig from a pint glass “and you are” she said looking at Clare

“I’m Clare and this is Sweet” she stopped herself then said “Rebecca”

“I saw you dancing earlier Rebecca, you dance very well we will have to have a dance later if that’s ok “ Rebecca looked up at Tracy and smiled “you don’t say much do you Rebecca.” Rebecca looked across at Clare, she nodded her head.

Rebecca said “I would love to dance with you later, I’ll see you inside” Tracy smiled back and said she would look out for her and went back over to Phil, said something to him then they both looked at Rebecca and walked away with a wave.

Both Emma and Rebecca where feeling the cold by now, but Emma was not going to show it. Rebecca on the other hand, was shivering. Clare looked at her and said “its cold out here let’s down to the cellar bar and have a dance to get warm.”

“Sounds good to me” Emma replied, getting up and starting for the door. She looked back just in time to see Clare walk up round behind Rebecca and grab hold of chain.

In the cellar bar the music was very loud, the bass was pumping, so loud and deep that they where able to feel it in there chests. Small spot lights scanned the room like World War 2 search lights, strobe lights flashed above there heads, giving the room the look of lighting. Smoke billowed round the room from the smoke machine. 4 poles where placed so that anyone was able to have a go at pole dancing.

Emma walked in first and headed for a pole. Clare was still behind Rebecca but she must have let go of the chain as she was now popping something into her ears. Clare also went for one of the empty poles. Rebecca walked over to the wall and placed her bag on the floor. She looked over to where the DJ did his thing. He was pointing at her while bopping his head in time with the music. She looked over at Clare who was hanging upside down from the very top of the pole, before sliding down only turning the right up, just before her head touched the floor. Clare looked over at Rebecca and nodded her head. Rebecca for a second or two closed her eyes and then started dancing.

The power of the music, the sound waves, the pounding bass line, flowed over her body. Like waves on a sandy beach, song after song, the music kept right on coming. Sweat poured down her face and back. The room began rushing faster and faster, round and round her head. She was gasping at the air. Every part of her body was telling her to stop dancing, but her mind kept flashing instructions, don’t stop keep going, don’t stop keep going. Her endorphins began flowing blocking the pain that was growing in her chest and the weak feeling in her legs. Her whole body felt numb. She felt the walls pressing in on her. Her vision dimmed.

“There you are” shouted a voice, Rebecca opened her eyes She was just able to make out Tracy standing in front of her. For a moment she panicked where was Clare. Clare was once again upside down at the top pole looking straight down at Emma, who was spinning around at the bottom. She looked over at Rebecca just at the right time to see her looking back. Clare all most fell on Emma in her rush it get down. But Emma had also seen Tracy talking to Rebecca and guessed what was about to happen, and had got out the way before Clare dropped off the pole like a dead weight. They made there way over to Rebecca.

“Hello again” shouted Clare. Tracy looked Clare up and down and went back to dancing with Rebecca, who was almost in a flat spin trying to work out what to do. Emma leaned in close to Rebecca’s ear and said “Don’t worry I don’t think Clare minds” and then started laughing like a drain. Clare walked round the back of Rebecca watching her all the time. When she saw that Emma was talking to her. She went over and picked up Rebecca’s bag and headed for the door of the cellar bar. She turned back, once more, looked at Rebecca dancing with Tracy and went out. Emma saw Clare walk out the door with Rebecca’s bag, but said and did nothing.

Emma took Rebecca’s hand and started heading for the door, by now they had not seen Clare for some time.

“My bag, I need to get my bag” called out Rebecca.

“Clare has it, I saw her pick it up, now come on let’s go find her.” Emma replied. They made there way back up the bar, and spotted Clare.

Emma, who was still holding on to Rebecca’s hand pulled her over.”

“Sorry I left you like that” Clare started “but the music was so loud and I bent my hand back when I dropped off the pole.”

Rebecca felt some one take hold of her chain, she turned her head to see who it was. Emma gave the smoke hand gesture, turned and all most pulled Rebecca over, who was getting her bag back from Clare. She never stopped pulling and all most dragged Rebecca out the door. Rebecca was trying to work out what the hell was going on. Clare shouting from the bar “Slow down Emma, you have to think for 2 now.”

Outside it had started raining hard and a lot of people had gathered under the roofed off parts of the smoking room. Emma slowed as she made her way across to one of the open areas, but she never let go of Rebecca’s chain. They stopped, the rain splashed on to there face’s, wetting there hair, Emma turned to face Rebecca, pulled her in close, and kissed her on the lip’s.

The shock rushed over Rebecca, time slowed down, the sounds of people talking faded away to her, she tried to push Emma back, but Emma was like a limpet and held her fast. Who, what, where, pardon all flashed across her mind, She felt something press against her Brest, it felt like a hand. Rebecca had never been kissed like this before. By men yes, but this was a woman. Emma’s lips where so soft on hers, and tasted so sweet. Emma pulled her head back, but Rebecca was still able to feel Emma’s hot breath on the face, her deep blue eyes flashed in the lights.

Rebecca felt like a 100 eyes where on her, she turned her head away from Emma, she wanted to run, but where to. A sudden whoop went round the room with shouts of “you go girls” from some of the men. Emma’s grip slackened for a second and Rebecca pulled herself free, tears flowed down her face, mixing with the rain dripping from her hair, she rushed across the room as fast as she was able to.

Some men where booing, everyone seemed to be looking at her, getting in her way, slowing her down. She almost ran into someone in a black jacket, she looked up into man’s face.

“I think you have had too much to drink, and I’m asking you to leave” said the door man.

“But no please” Rebecca stammered.

“It’s not something that’s up for debate you have had too much to drink” he came back with.

Rebecca spotted Clare out the corner of her eye. Clare had been watching the whole time, Clare turned, and looked away from Rebecca her face lit by the light from the fire.

Rebecca fell into the back of a waiting taxi.

The driver asked “where to” for a second she did not know where to go

“A hotel please” she heard herself whisper.

“Don’t worry I know a nice one nearby” the driver said back, and the taxi pulled off. Rain splashed down on the window, on the radio someone was singing about lighting a candle for someone.

“Car 31, where you going to?” a woman’s voice all most shouted over the singer on the radio.

The driver said back “Car 31, pick up club land going to hill top hotel” “Roger Car 31, all booked, when you clear hill top can you return to club land, for someone called May, they have asked for you.”

“Roger that Club land for May” the driver relied back.

“And pray that your all right” sang the singer on the radio. The driver looked back at Rebecca in his mirror, there eyes meet for a second, he was just about to say something, but kept his mouth shut.

Time flashed by for Rebecca and it felt like only seconds had passed before they pulled up outside the hotel.

“How much” asked Rebecca.

“It’s all ready paid for” said the driver

“Pardon”

“That blond doorman gave me a ten pound note and the fare is only six twenty” he passed her some change.

“Thanks” Rebecca said getting out the taxi by now the driver was talking into his radio again.

“Car 31, clear hilltop returning to club land for May, do you know where there going to?” Rebecca shut the door of the taxi, and as it pulled away, she was just able to make out the woman’s voice saying “where you are now”.
