A Family History by Ann Parnell

Family history  -  mainly Jolin, Pain and Simpson

Welcome.

This page is mainly about my ancestors and their families who lived in England and the Channel Islands. The main surname is Jolin, but linked surnames include: BONE; DACKOMBE; HAWES; JOSEY; PAIN ( Lambeth and Portsea); SIMPSON (Walworth area); and WELLS (Wickhambrook in Suffolk). They worked as sailors, boot and shoemakers, carpenters, labourers and undertakers. There was also a brush maker, a brickworks owner and the man who was the last person to publicly executed on Jersey in 1829. For legal and privacy reasons I have not entered full details of living people, only their names.

Photographs  -  this page also contains an assortment of photos.

Thanks for looking, I hope that you find something of interest. Best wishes. Ann.
