Clive is an engineer and is married to Ivy Garlitz, a poet who studied for her Ph.D in Creative and Critical Writing at the University of East Anglia with Professor Andrew Motion. They live in Felixstowe, England, with their budgies, Edward Hopper and William Morris; their Gouldian Finches Barry and Iris; and their red factor canaries Dorian and Dorian's offspring Rio, Owen, Hughie, Louie, and Dewey.
Ivy's poems have appeared in many magazines such as the Rialto, Smith's Knoll, Magma, and Poetry Review. She has read at the Aldeburgh Poetry Festival.
