On April 28th members of Batala Portsmouth join forces with members from Batala Bermo to play in Cwmbran. A brief note on the gig will be posted here sometime next week as will photos of the gig. Well what a day was had by all. We had a total blast as you will see when you check out the photos, for which a massive thank you goes out to MORGAN for some fantastic action shots!! Cheers mate well done!! We left Gosport at 07:00 and hit the road with STEVE at the wheel and KEV his navigator. After a short pit stop we arrived in Cwmbran around 11:00. Our first set kicked off at 11:30 with PETE calling. It went down a storm with the locals. We broke for lunch and watched the other acts and kicked of our second set at 13:30 with LISA from Barmouth calling. Where does she get the energy? This meant PETE could play and boy was he in his element. Again it was a total blast everyone give 100% and really enjoyed themselves. It was really good to meet up with our Barmouth brothers and sisters, so lets do it again SOON!!! |
