"I get the feeling...um...thought...that I should know you.....but..." Kylah interupted him.
"Do the words 'younger sister' mean anything to you at all?" Ponder looked at her closely, his eyes narrowed.
"K......umm....Karen...no...Kylah?! Is that you?" Kylah looked at him in astonishment.
"You....remember me?" she said slightly guiltily.
"Of course I remember.....how old are you now? You haven't changed that much.....maybe a little taller..."
"I'm 17. You're 25 in two months.......family is more important to me than magic you know."

It is never calm in Anhk-Morpork. No big city is calm, and like all city people, the citizens of Anhk-Morpork have a lot on their minds. For example, on this particularly cool evening Modo the Gardener was wondering precisely which compost he should use for Klatchian Roses, The Librarian was wondering where the strange grey man had come from whom he had chased out of the University for fun, and Angua Uberwald was wondering how she could silently assassinate Kylah Stibbons without anyone noticing or suspecting it was her. She had wondered about this particular point all the way from the watch-house, all the way up to the University. So, this Vimes man wants to talk to her, does he? Well, that is an unexpected twist to the tale. Something we had not planned for. But it would pose little threat, if it went too far she could easily dispose of this "Vimes". The hard part was over. Forcing oneself into another person's mind was an extremely difficult task. Yes, granted that she was elsewhere at the time but this Angua was a strong-willed individual and had left much residual psionic resistance to her entry. Back to the present, what was it she had to do now? Well, apart from the elimination of Kylah Stibbons, she was going to have to make sure the rest of her party had infiltrated their host minds and were ready to move. Then it would be time for her and her counterparts to meet with their employer and discuss wages. And the wages would be high. Being a Character Assassin required more than a passing familiarity with telepathy. Character Assassins were trained from childhood to become expertly crafted tools to whoever had the motivation and, of course, the money to pay the Clan. By this point, she had reached the University gates. All in good time she thought and she allowed herself a tiny little flash of a smile.

Angua lay staring upwards at the ceiling of her bedroom and thought about the events of late. Carrot had acted as though nothing had happened between them and, understandably, she wasn't too pleased. On the other hand, she was worried, when she mentioned the fact that he had stabbed Ponder Stibbons (or rather when Kylah Stibbons had demanded to know the justification for his unspeakable crime) he looked at her with a puzzled expression. This had practically scared Angua to death (on second thought, no, it didn't really, not much could scare her to death at this point, given where she was) and she would have pressed Carrot for more information if she had not began to feel slightly faint. Carrot could wait and she had decided to return to her bedroom. Well, it wasn't really her bedroom but Death had presented it to her as her bedroom.
“IT MAY NOT BE MUCH, BUT IM SURE YOU WILL FEEL MUCH MORE AT HOME GIVEN THE FEMENINE TOUCH THAT THIS ROOM HAS RECIEVED”.
Angua could only imagine the female who had touched this room and then it began to worry her that this person might work their way into a wildlife sanctuary and hug the resident fauna to death. Garish pink dominated the room, like a bright rash, and when combined with the black of everything that was not pink, Angua had to turn away from the spectral assault. There was a knock on the door, a firm quick knocking, so it could not be Carrot because he usually knocked a little rhythm and it couldn't be Death because he, of course, knocks only once.
"Yes? Who is it" Angua held a hand to her forehead to check her temperature, she was feeling even fainter then before.
"Its me ma'am, thought yer might like a nice cup of tea, what with you not feeling well and all." The voice said.
"Albert isn't it? Thank you Albert but I'm afraid I'm not presentable at the moment, just give me a few seconds." Angua said and drifted over to the impressive gothic cupboard. She opened the huge doors and peered inside.
"S'alright ma'am, Ill just wait here."
Inside the wardrobe, there was a dressing gown of fluffy garish pink material and a Quirm Collage for Young Ladies school uniform. She took the dressing gown and wrapped it around herself. She pushed back the feeling that she was getting worse. Slowly, she drifted towards the door and opened it.
"Thank you very much Albert but I...Carrot, I'm sorry, I didn't know you were there" The two men just stared at her in shock. At first, Angua was afraid that she might be showing a little too much than was polite, but then Albert spoke.
"Well, Damn! Pardon my language, but this can only get worse, I must get the Master quickly, you stay and make sure she doesn't...uh, Oh just stay here!" And with that Albert hurried off leaving a stunned Carrot holding a cup of tea.
"What, what's the matter, what's happ.." Angua looked down. Carrot could indeed see through her garment, he could also see through her as well. As she looked a wave of invisibility washed over her.
"My Gods," She whispered "What's happening to me?"
