ever at this time of year, it is the pleasure of Spike!
Magazine to announce the award for the Loughborough
Blood Bowl League Player of the Year 2503.
This year's prize was hotly contested,
but in the end it was the Lion Warrior Lanfear
(pictured left) from Ulthuan Athletic who scooped it.
With an incredible eighteen touchdowns in just three
tournaments, including one in the Mithril Spike! final,
Lanfear is the epitome of Athletic's free-scoring
philosophy.
What is even more amazing is that his
team-mate and fellow Lion Warrior Mesaana was
runner up, with a further fifteen touchdowns.
Third place was taken by the Skink
Katchmi from the Qualapec Krocs - and as the fastest
player in the League, there is much debate as to whether
he would have won the award had his team competed in the
Spike! trophy.
