FOOD FOR THOUGHT

If like me you are one of those people who likes to have a number of projects on the go at any one time, you might like to take the time to do as I recently did, and work out a schedule to prioritise and complete all the projects you have part completed or ready to start. I was quite shocked when I realised that just to complete the part started planes or new kits ready to build would take me until early 2001! I recently heard of someone who was in an even worse position in that they worked out that they were unlikely to live long enough to complete all the projects they had started!

It has been a useful process for me in that I have drawn up a schedule, - and am endeavouring to stick to it - to complete all my planned builds by early next year, and has nearly stopped me from taking on anything else, or at least made me think twice before taking on any more. It is also leading to a sense of achievement and purpose in my building that was lacking as I slowly sunk under too many projects on the go at once.

Try it; you may give yourself rather a shock!

Nigel Fay

Thoughts of the secretary (he just can't keep it to himself!!)

I know the feeling Nigel, after receiving your e-mail above, I looked at what I had on the bench part finished, and it took me aback a bit, there is the K8 that I started nearly two years ago, still unfinished. Two other projects both electric and a new Eliminator 134. This of course does not include all the repairs that I seem to accumulate each week, hence the delay on the new projects. But I would not like to equate this into months or even years as there always something else on the horizon that grabs ones attention.
