About me
My main instruments are various Saxophones, Clarinet, Flute and Piccolo. I have led my own band for a number of years whilst continuing to work as a freelance musician. As a result of this work I have toured Europe as a Soloist and Deputy Musical Director with various bands as well as regular work in the U.K. I have played in bands for television and radio broadcasts, performed in Stage Bands backing the likes of Brian Conley and Shane Ritchie as well as visiting American singers and entertainers. I have played seasons and freelance at holiday camps and undertaken cruise line work, which has enabled me to perform in and visit many parts of the world. I am also an Educator, teaching instrumental Woodwind performance and jazz and classical music theory to a varied age range.
I am happy to be booked on a freelance basis as well as for regular band work on the above instruments in jazz, pop, rock and classical styles (solo or ensemble). Some of my recent work has included:

The Andy Morris Quartet is an experienced function band consisting of saxophone / flute / clarinet, piano, bass / vocals and drums. We have played music for many different occasions to a high professional standard. Be it a wedding, corporate function, Masonic ladies festival or private party we are able to supply your needs. We are happy to discuss any special requirements or requests as we have a vast library of music we can select from. The Andy Morris Quartet can also be reduced in size to a solo sax with backing tracks, sax and piano duo or trio without the bass / vocals or augmented e.g. solo vocalist, trumpet and / or saxophones added, if the occasion is suitable.
Teaching
I am available for Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute and Piccolo lessons as well as all aspects of Jazz and Classical theory. I am happy to work with students using both written music and by ear. I have a very successul teaching program for jazz and rock improvisation which has enabled a large number of students to release their inner creativity and work successfully in bands. A large number of my students have also taken Classical music studies to well beyond Grade 8 standard before undertaking further study at University.
