This is the result of about a week's evenings and a weekend. The bike cloks had to be cut up to separate the idiot lights from the tacho, just because they looked better on the left as they match the contour of the binnacle quite nicely. Then, to get the tacho so I could read it, the steering column needed raising 25mm at it's top mounting. The original Sierra plastic moulding no longer fits, so something will have to be done to tidy up around the stalk controls and ignition switch.

Also seen here is the experimental hand clutch. It seemed to me that as I have more "feel" in my hand from years of bike riding that fast launches might be easier with this system. Also, as you have to reach for the lever to change gear, why not have the clutch there as it leaves your left foot free for left foot braking.

All of this was true and it works a treat except............

Try turning right out of a junction while slipping the clutch. When you find you need more right lock you find the tiny flaw in my system. A minor point, but annoying enough for me to revert to foot clutch for town driving and leave the hand clutch for days when I'm giving it large.
