MNG-AJM  -  Payment & Other Details

All items in the catalog are fully checked before you pay for them. If I find that they do not meet the description adequately (eg. incomplete) then I will contact you - essentially I have not checked all the stock I have, but do it as interest is expressed in it – I only have so much time in a day (about 29 hours I think at last count…)

Parcels are despatched as follows: UK < 750g: 2nd class post; UK > 750g Standard Parcel; Overseas: < 2kg: International small packet (airmail / surface - your choice), >2kg International Standard or Economy (your choice).  If you want your items sent some other way please say. Postage and packing is paid by the purchaser.  However in order to reduce postage charges I am happy to store your purchases until you have enough to make sending worthwhile.  All items stored in this way must be paid for when storage is requested, and postage paid for when you request them to be posted.

I offer the following insurance options:

1)     No insurance – if goods arrive damaged and it is Royal Mail’s fault then the risk is yours, but of course you can make a claim against Royal Mail for up to about £30.  In practice the risk is small.  I have sent about 800 parcels over the last 2 years and only 4 parcels have arrived damaged.

2)     Insurance. I will add 1% to your total invoice amount, and then if the parcel arrives damaged, I will either give you a partial refund which we mutually agree upon if you decide the games are still worth keeping, or if you return the damaged goods to me: a full refund of your invoice (less the 1% insurance premium) and refund of your postage costs to return them to me.  If you choose this option and you do receive damaged goods please get in touch before returning the goods as in some cases the cost of return postage may be more than I want to pay to get the damaged goods back!

Cheques should be made payable to MNG-AJM, and must be drawn on a UK bank. Essentially if you aren't in the UK then a cheque isn't going to work, as the bank charges are about £15 per cheque cleared!  The alternative is to pay by credit card or UK debit card.  Note however that I have to charge an extra 2% for credit card purchases as the bank charges me about 5%.  UK debit cards can also be used but I have to charge you an extra £0.50 for this to help cover costs.  I don’t accept PayPal.  I believe International Money Orders are also a possibility but expect a surcharge of about £8 since the bank charges this much to cash them.

Card payments can be dealt with in one of two ways:

1)     You give me your card details in a secure manner and I keep a record of them and charge your card as and when necessary, but always after agreeing the transaction with you. (The record I keep is not on my computer, but a paper record only as added security against your card details being hacked).

2)     You can use my Make Payment page to make a secure payment using WorldPay (part of the Royal Bank of Scotland group).  This way you don’t have to give me your card details at all, and you initiate the payment, and enter your card details. I never get to see them.  For more details see Make Payment.

Any item can be returned within 7 days of you receiving it for a full refund if not found to be satisfactory, however, you are required to return it (at your expense) in the same condition it was in when you received it. If I am satisfied that I have made a mistake in processing your order which got you the wrong goods or incorrectly described goods, then return of goods will be at my expense. If you do have a problem with an order, please contact me and I will do my best to put things right.

The catalog changes monthly and prices apply only to the current month.  Availability is not guaranteed.

Subscriptions by email are free of charge.  If you wish to receive a paper copy then I have to charge to cover printing and postage.  Cost for 1 year's paper subscription: UK £13, Europe £17, Rest of world £23.
