Non-Stop Clarifications and House Rules by Andy Merritt 1) The game is best with 2 or 4 (not 3) so that the players all start equally seperated. 2) When starting the game, use the following table to detemine how much movement each player gets on their first turn: 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 2 players 2 4 - - 4 players 2 3 4 5 3) We play that you cannot stop short, so if you start on a 4 card, and the route you choose leaves you on a 1 card you cannot choose to stop 1 short on a 5 card (which would have been much better for next turn). However, you can always choose a different route which will leave you on a different tile. You are allowed to stop short only if a) the route you choose takes you a track which goes off the remaining tiles (and then you must stop there or b) your route is blocked by another train. 4) For purposes of blocking, trains are considered to be at a point in the middle of the section of track they are on - thus a train sometimes can and sometimes cannot pass a tile with another train on it. 5) We don't play with the isolated track being claimable rule, but leave isolated track to be claimed later when passed over. 6) We don't play that a player unable to move 2 turns in a row is out - they just fail to do anything! 7) We do allow the 2 tiles to be placed on the edge and corner spaces, but not outside the 9x9 grid. 8) Placement of the 2 tiles is done before any movement. You can play as many or as few as you wish - this can be important if want to avoid helping another player or landing on a 1 tile.
