Crazy Race House Rules by Andy Merritt * Use 2d4 rather than 2d6 and modify action cards as follows: Move 4/10 becomes Move 3/7 Add/Substract 4 becomes Add/Subtract 3 The effect of this is to increase the effect of card play and track manipulation, and reduce the effect of rolling high / low. Note: If you have 2d6 (from the game) and want to use 2d4 then on one dice remark 6 as a 1 and a 5 as a 4. On the other remark 6 as a 2 and 5 as a 3. This now has the same expected value as 2d4 and equal chances of any number (1,2,3,4) coming up. The distribution does differ slightly from a real 2d4 roll as doubles come up less often than with a real 2d4. It works just fine for this game though. If you feel these modifications are too great, a lesser modification can be made by using average dice instead of 2d6 (ie. the dice have 2,3,3,4,4,5 rather than 1,2,3,4,5,6).
