The 3 forward / diagonally forward tiles are very advantageous, so I suggest removing the 4x [á]3, and 2x [ßãáäà]3 tiles from the game. Take the 3x [ãä]3 and 3x[ßáà]3 tiles, shuffle them and deal one to each player at the start of the game as one of the initial 3 tiles. Remove the remaining tiles of these types from the game. Also it is entirely possible to continue the race after it has been won to determine 2nd, 3rd etc. This will also reduce the importance of hurting the leader at the end of the game since going for 2nd is a potentially worthwhile alternative objective.
