Jonathan Griffith's House Rules for Auf Heller & Pfennig -------------------------------------------------------- We've played "Auf Heller Und Pfennig" a great deal and have some house variations for it 1) Place the market "stalls" upside down, so that they don't become targets. We found that we'd place negative "shoppers" around the high point stalls, so we've avoided that by making all stalls look the same. 2) The Evil Eye now just halves the total value of the row and column, being the opposite of the money bags doubling tile. We found the original rule of only counting negative tiles too oppressive. It's an excellent game even before our alterations - they just improve it slightly.
