Owned since 1985, this is a 1971 Pimiento red TR6 with the 2.5 litre 6-cylinder,
150 bhp petrol injection engine. It was used as everyday transport for
about 2 years, during which time major repairs had to be carried out on
the bodywork (around the seatbelt mountings) and the front suspension
just to get it through MOT tests and keep it on the road. After the 2
years, the ravages of rust had taken too great a hold, particularly along
the outer edges of the floor pans, the sills, the rear bulkhead. Three
of the outer wings had also badly rusted - in fact one was held together
with large amounts of duct tape!
It is currently
undergoing an extensive, long-term body-off restoration. For details and
