After all
the suspension and drivetrain components, along with the chassis, were
painted, the re-assembly could begin. This was very satisfying, as over
a couple of weeks all the suspension, steering, differential and drive-shaft
components were fitted on the chassis.
I
then made up all the steel brake pipes and petrol injection pipes. One
of this trickiest aspects of this part of the work was trying to figure
out where all the pipes and various clips actually go on the chassis.
I created 2 diagrams as I worked all this out and purchased the parts
needed. One is of the brake
pipes and one is of the PI
pipes. The 'H' and 'PI' designations are the labels numbers stuck
onto the pipes as they were taken off the chassis all those years ago!

Finally
the rolling chassis was complete - the only thing left to do is
restore the wheels and fit some new tyres. Here are some pictures
of the chassis before and after!
